First formulated in 2008 and then launched in 2009, our original mission was simple and bold: to create the best, most complete, cycling drink available. ‘The’ one choice, made just with the needs of cyclists in mind and serious cycling at that.
The few years that followed saw us create the ultimate dedicated cycling nutrition range, starting with our ‘all-in-one’ drink, we progressed with innovative bars, natural gels and introduced the cycling World to hemp based protein powder, which complimented our core drink for those that wanted an additional protein boost without adding extra bulk or consuming dairy produce.

The Bikefood® range is one that continually defied conventions of the time and offered discerning riders a genuine difference. A small yet robust outfit, we nurtured a dedicated following of cyclists across many disciplines including pro team riders, World champions both on the roads and in the trails. Bikefood® achieved a major listing with the largest online cycling retailer, opening the doors to global shipping and all the challenges of growing a micro-brand.
Fast forward to 2024 and Bikefood® is back. Or core staple is as good as it ever was and stands strong as our starting point for a reboot as we welcome back Bikefood® as ‘version 2.0’ and look to the future.

2012 was the 4th year Bikefood® partnered with GPM10, the Alps based training specialists, supporting their specialist guides and discerning clients as they ride the legendary routes through the World’s most savoured cycle routes.
